Well we continue East! Yesterday Jamie and I were up and away at 5 am because of the forecast of the dire heat - however it never materialised so we really had a very good 94 mile cycle ride - even the Germans get the forecast wrong sometimes! We are finding this area of east Germany very unique. We have met just one English person who is married to a lady from these parts. They now live in London and are just here visiting relatives. He told us that you can get here quite quickly form Stansted to Berlin then an hours train journey! Or ofcourse seven days of pedalling!
Today we have had a short journey just 40 miles so we decided to leave the roads and follow the forest tracks really fun.
I think one of the most remarkable things about this ride so far is that we have been on cycle tracks virtually from the Hook of Holland to here at Forst. So we will see how geared up Poland is for cyclists tomorrow!
